Hard Rock/Metal/Post-Rock Vocalist in Auckland

Hey there!

My name is Gilles Bullinga, and I'm a well-trained and well-rounded vocalist based in Auckland. I'm 20 years old, and I'm looking for an opportunity within a fairly wide range of original music, from hard rock all the way through the extreme metal genres, maybe a bit of post-rock, or some beautiful ambient stuff. Personally I tend to listen to Djent and Progressive Metal, and I'll always have a bit of a heavy edge, but maybe that's just what you need!
In terms of experience, I've written vocals and guitar work for my personal project for the last couple of years and consider myself a fairly complex songwriter; I am an excessive and obsessive perfectionist and won't stop until the material is tight and hard-hitting. I've been taking professional vocal lessons for a year now, where I've honed my natural singing voice into a creamy and full tone, and I've learned to scream without hurting myself. I am also a published author and take great care when it comes to writing lyrics, often spending weeks sharpening and perfecting them, so if you're on the lookout for a vocalist and some sharp lyrics are a plus, hit me up!
However, I admit that I am still fairly shiny and new to the gigging world and while I feel ready to go out and let 'em have it, I'd also be looking at performing as a learning experience.

All in all, I'm looking for a group that's ready to start knuckling down and writing music as a cohesive unit. Fun is essential, of course, but I'm also looking for a shred of seriousness. Believe me I've heard the nightmares of vocalists that aren't committed to the band, or vocalists that just look for the spotlight. That's not me, I'm an extremely creative person, and music to me is about the music and the message behind it.
