Saxophone, Clarinet and Flute Lessons

As a tutor, I focus first and foremost on helping students produce a flexible and usable sound.

The format and content of a lesson depend largely on the students’ goals but reading music and sight-reading, theory, scales and patterns, technique and improvising are often areas we work together to improve.

• Online or in-person – studio in Thorndon or in some situations I can travel to you
• Decades of experience teaching and playing in many settings – jazz, pop/rock/funk/blues and some classical
• I love working with complete beginners, especially late starters and those with a background in other instruments
• I’m well-connected in the Wellington music scene to help you find playing and performance opportunities
• Option to participate in a house concert near the end of each year with an audience of supportive students and their family/friends!
• No instrument? I can help arrange hireage

I believe everyone should learn and/or play a musical instrument.

$50/45 minute lesson.
